My exam is in 1 week....and I've decided it's time to tell my story...

I wish I had found this great resource a long time ago! Thanks, Eric and the whole Beat the GMAT team!

I have been studying for the GMAT since August, but have had ups and downs in how much I focused on it. I took the Kaplan Classroom Course, and completed almost all of the online work for it, but my score wasn't moving, so I started targeting areas where I was getting problems wrong.

Then, I discovered I didn't understand some fundamental concepts in Math, so I focused mainly on reviewing Math. When I did some Verbal studying, my score increased significantly, but decreased again when I studied for Math more.

What should be my strategy for this last week, so that I can stay strong in both areas? Currently, I'm reviewing with Kaplan 800, OG11, and the Delta Course. Now I'm also only focusing on difficult questions, which I learned from my mistake months ago when I was following Kaplan's "one-size-fits-all" required assignments, and not improving my score.

I plan to take GMATPrep 2, and some of the free online exams from Kaplan, PR, and MGAT (any recommendations on which is best for this last week would be nice).

Here are my scores so far:

Kaplan Diagnostic (paper) 8/20 630 39Q 37V
Kaplan CAT1 9/16 580 36Q 30V
Kaplan CAT2 9/23 580 35Q 32V
Kaplan CAT3 10/2 600 37Q 36V
Kaplan CAT4 10/8 640 41Q 37V
Kaplan CAT5 10/20 630 41Q 35V
Kaplan CAT6 12/16 630 39Q 37V
Kaplan CAT7 12/22 670 36Q 55V
Kaplan CAT8 12/27 650 42Q 38V
GMATPrep 1 12/29 720 48Q 41V

Thanks, Eric.

Does anyone have any advice on what to do about my Quant score suffering when I study more Verbal, and vice-versa?

I'd really appreciate any advice, as I'm getting down to the wire (5 days!!!)
