Help :'(

by rdutta.pec » Fri Mar 30, 2012 12:06 am
I just had my GMAT exm yesterday. I got a 610 (Q48, V26).. Im really disappointed.. English wasnt my strongest but I never imagined scoring this low.

I had used.. OG12, Kaplan GMAT800, OG Quant Review, OG Verbal Review, Kaplan Math Workbook.,
I guess Im missing out on the basic grammar rules in English.. Im planning to give GMAT again in the end of May.. What would u guys recommend for English? Coz I need to score a 700 in the next one.. Yesterday's test was soooo demotivating.

I really need help regarding which book to use which goes thorugh the concepts of SC & CR in detail.

Should I use Manhattan GMAT for SC? Coz I recently read in these blogs that it is well explained.

HELP!!

Manhattan SC guide is excellent. You should do the following to improve in verbal:

1. Read the official materials such as OG10, 11, 12, 13, GMATPREP, and OG Review.
2. You can use LSAT materials for RC and CR.
3. Take as many practice test as possible.
4. You may like to take help from an expert who explains official materials in an informal way.
5. Read standard newspapers such as nytimes, sciencedaily etc.

Thanks.
