Help regarding a studying strategy

Hello Everbybody! It would be very beneficial for me and anybody who will be reading this post if i could get an answer to the following questions from a GMAT instructor and/or someone who has had a great experience cracking the test

*I am done reviewing math basics. Should i take the quant section of a diagnostic test now?

*or should i review verbal basics also and take a full diagnostic test?

*should i even be taking a diagnostic test as a first step after reviewing basics or should i go through problems first in both quant and verbal then take a diagnostic test?

*as a studying strategy, what would the best way be to tackle both sections: one week of verbal-one week of math or should i alternate more often?

We can do it!!!

If i were you I would take a diagnostic test from a source like MGMAT even before reviewing any basics. That way I would know all the areas which need work.

Since you have already reviewed Math Basics, go ahead and take the MGMAT free online CAT. This would give you an idea about your strengths and weaknesses.

After this, compile an exhaustive list of all topics in Quant (you should be able to find it in the forum) and ensure that you master each one of them. Use all the resources on the forum.

The studying strategy will depend on your comfort level. It is good to alternate as much as possible to keep things fresh in all five areas (PS,DS, RC, CR, SC).

However, if you are distinctly able to identify weak areas (say interest problem, rate of work etc in Quant and SC in Verbal) then you should attack those first.
