Hi. I just did my 1st GMAT Diagnostic test and scored a 500! Actually I got this Princeton Review book and decided to have a go at 1st of those free 4 CAT's.

MY score: 500 (Q43, V17).

The purpose of this test was to evaluate how much and where I stand in Quants; since last time I did Maths was around 8 years ago. The results on Quants are encouraging, and I think OG12 and Quant review 2nd Ed. will help me increase score to 51.

Now, I haven't studied anything like GMAT Verbal in my life. And I was actually too bored to solve all those questions.

What I want to know is how to prepare for Verbal section. I want to get that score at least to 40. I am aiming to score a 730 (Q51,V40). Can you guys please recommend me some awesome books on Verbal Section? You can always give some links to specific posts.

Any suggestions are welcomed.
