Since you've just started, this first practice CAT score is a strong indicator of your natural ability at Test Taking. Your focus should be primarily on the Verbal section, but you should do a bit of Quant work just to keep your skills sharp.

One practice CAT is not enough for you to gauge your overall ability. It's possible that you got "lucky" on some questions that you wouldn't normally have answered correctly. You might also have pacing problems. If you skipped either the Essay or IR sections, then you didn't complete the ENTIRE CAT, so your score might not actually be accurate (since you didn't have to endure the entire exam). All of this is meant to say that you'll need to plan on taking a series of CATs during your studies to measure your progress; you should plan on taking 1/week.

You can start working with the materials you have. If you get stuck at a particular scoring level, then you should post back here and I'll be happy to offer some suggestions.

Your plan makes sense. You should plan on taking another practice CAT in the next week or so. That score result will give you a good sense of your progress and what you should continue to work on.
