help me in finalizing bschool

by vikram4689 » Fri Jun 01, 2012 7:43 am
how to you chose b-school, i am having hard time finalizing one. I am interested in finance, marketing and entrepreneurship.

Constraints -
a)i will have to begin no later than Aug-2013
b)i dont have money in kitty i.e. go for school where roi is high & investment is low as well
c)gmat score 730, strong extra-curricular activities (no worries here, already checked with experts)
d)pure technical background 4+ yrs experience by Aug-2013
e)a school where interaction among profs/student community is more i.e. high on social aspect.

few years after mba i.e. when loans are off my back. i plan to settle in a small town so hefty paybacks that is USP of top schools is NOT a must. i will be happy to get an average amount that can support a family of 4.

overall idea- get mba -> learn finance -> get a job -> gain experience and pay debts -> shift to small country/town

will be happy to provide any other inputs

If you are interested in restaurants, Cornell has the top hospitality (restaurant and hotel) school in the world. The MMH could be a better option than an MBA if that's your ultimate goal. You could also do a dual degree with them, MBA and MMH, or just MBA with classes at the hospitality school. The business school's finance program is also top notch.
