I just got back from completely bombing the test. I did the work, took a prep course (Manhattan) studied the material. Prep tests ranges from Mid 500's to mid 600's. How I arrived at this score today is perplexing. I didn't see it coming. I got plenty rest, felt confident through the entire and this was the outcome. Giving myself the day to regroup but start back at it tomorrow. The minimum I need for my schools of choice is a 550 and I know I can do better than that. Please help...

Hey dooly365,

I'm sorry to hear that you didn't reach your target score. It sounds like you were consistently scoring in the range you needed.

Were these the official GMATPrep practice test? If so, then it sounds like you have the necessary content knowledge.

Do you find that your behavior changes significantly when you're in the formal testing environment? You certainly wouldn't be the first person to suffer from test anxiety. Also, how are your time-management skills when you're in a formal testing environment?

If it helps, I recently wrote two video articles for BTG on these subjects:

Cheers,

Hi Brent - actually the bulk of them were MGMAT Prep tests, I took one GMAT Prep Test and scored 490 on that one. Still not good but the range seemed well within reach. This was the best I've ever felt in a test environment, rested, alert, etc. Completed blindsided by the results. No crying over spilt milk here though. I've rescheduled to retake the test in a little over a month and a half. Now I just need to come up with a study plan.
