Help deciding how to study for the GMAT

I'm probably biased, but I would recommend studying from the Manhattan GMAT materials. I've worked with and studied this company over the years and I've concluded that they have put together a best-in-class set of materials and courses. You can't go wrong with them.

I can't speak to Kaplan Advanced materials--I'm actually not familiar with this specific brand of courses, materials. Do they include the Kaplan GMAT Test Prep and Kaplan 800 books?

In either way, both brands are very strong and you should be well-prepared by option for one or the other. If you do decide to go with Manhattan GMAT, be sure to take advantage of the 10% member discount.

Best of luck!

We also let people attend a first class for free (limited slots available, though), so if you want to get a sense for the curriculum and teaching style, sign up for one of those (look for available dates / times on the 9-session classes part of out web site).

If you do the Guided Self Study Prep Plus, you will get access to all 9 class recordings. Just be aware that (of course) you won't have a live teacher, so you won't be able to ask the teacher questions during class. For that, you'd go onto the ManhattanGMAT forum; you can still have questions answered by teachers (including me!) but you may have to wait a few days for a reply.

The Prep Plus also gives you two half-hour private tutoring sessions via phone, so you can ask some questions there, but you'd want to save your biggest, most pressing issues for the private tutoring, obviously. Use the forum for posting test or OG questions and asking about very specific issues.
Please note: I do not use the Private Messaging system! I will not see any PMs that you send to me!!
