Hi
This isn't the case. Technically, you can give GMAT in Dec, 08 and still make into the class of 09. But its difficult, because most of the colleges have finished there round 2 of selection and are only left with Round 3, which starts in Jan - again this rule can't be generalized. You have to visit the last date for a particular B school. The reason I said it's difficult is because most of the seats gets filled up in Rounds 1 & 2.

Take the GMAT only when you are comfortable about the preparation. The score lasts for 5 yrs. Visit www.mba.com for all the information you need about GMAT and then click on Resources tab in this forum for everything else.
