For Essay #1, while we talk about our major accomplishments, how direct should we be with the things we learned along the way? The question specifically asks for something we did well, so should we focus 100%, 80%, or 60% describing the situation, task, action, result (STAR), coupled with things we learned along the way? I'm having some trouble finding the "right" boundary before I veer off what they've asked.
I'm assuming Essay #2 is different -- a little heavier on the self-analysis/"here's what I learned" side, but not so much to overpower the overall question.
