HBS Awards/Recognition

by lotsastuff » Tue Sep 27, 2011 11:10 am
HBS' online application reads: "Please list all distinctions, honors, and awards (academic, military, extracurricular, professional, community) in order of importance to you (i.e., list the most important first). List each award only once."

Then there are only 3 slots...are we only supposed to enter three, or am I missing something with the online form?

Yes skills tested in the application are brevity and decision making. You need to do your essays in tight word limits and make choices around which activities to showcase. Choose activities that show a diversity of interests/talents, affect the most people, and are the most impressive/pedigreed.

I really like the way you put that, Alex:
skills tested in the application are brevity and decision making
I agree. It's not about sharing every single thing you have accomplished; it's making choices about which ones to share and how to share them.

Well said, Alex, well said.
