Taking recos from 2 professor, just put you into the crowd. To stand apart from crowd, Its advisable to go for diversity. If possible take one reco from Professor and if you have worked/volunteered in Non-profit community work then do take it from them (This really gives PLUS to your profile). Taking two recos from professor shows that you limited your interaction with only academic, apart from that they think your social interaction is nil. Remember HBS looking for Multitasking-diversified profile. Go through the HBS2+2 profile in BeatTheGmat forum. where you will find lots of people and their work.

a follow-up,
i mentioned two prof in the previous question.
one is really close, I take his seminar (class for seniors), took most of his lectures, and I am T.A. in one of his classes.
but the downside is that he didn't receive degree from a prestigious school in the states.

another one: I took one of his classes (the lecture is very related to my focus: social development),
I am not THAT close to him personally, but I aced his class.
he received his degree from Yale.

+ my direct-superior from the NGO experience, he received his degree from one of the top schools in Japan, but not in the states (he doesn't have big name)


+ I heard a rumor that if the rec are not by some BIG name ppl, the adm may just ignore my application.
