Compare the powers of 2.


1/4=(1/2)^2

Eqn will be

(1/2)^2m*(1/5)^18=(1/2)*(2^35)*(5^35)

2m=35-1
m=17

It doesn't make sense..

How does 10^35 turn out to be 2^ (35*5*35)

Can you explain how u got that?

10=2*5

10^35=(2^35)* (5^35)

This is what I meant. That was typo.

(1/4)^m (1/5)^18 = 1/2*10^35

using (ab)^m = a^m b ^m
a ^ m * a ^ n = a ^ m+n
(1/4)^m = (1/2)^2m


= (1/2)^2m (1/5)^18 = (1/2)^36 * (1/5)^35

Comparing on both sides

2m = 36

m = 18
