I have two questions. One is about how much I should study if my CAT scores are around what I need and the other one is about Manhattan CAT difficulty level.
1. How much should I continue to study if my practice test results (official CATs and Manhattan's are around what I need?
-I only need around a 550 to get into my schools program. So far I have scored a 600 and a 590 on the practice CATS (official and manhattan's). My test date is scheduled to be in the middle of August. How much should I study if I don't care about improving my score by that much but don't want it to drop either?
2. I took my first Manhattan Gmat CAT today and I got a very low score in verbal. On the Official practice test I got a 41 on verbal and for Manhattan's I got a 34! Granted I did not study any on verbal in between the two tests. But the discrepancy irritated me so I looked at the analyses that Manhattan does (which I must say is very nice). According to that I had 27 700-800 level questions! Is this standard? I missed 20 of the probems- 17 700-800 level, 2 600-700 level, and 1 500-600 level. Is it possible to get this many high level questions and then get a lower score (34) or is it because I must have gotton alot of 700-800 level questions right on my original Official CAT to get my original score (41)?
I just want to know so that I know where to focus my, hopefully limited, studying. I got a 34 verbal and 36 quant on the manhattan but I still feel like my math is my weakness and I should focus on that. So do you think the manhattan results are accurate and I should start to focus more on verbal?-Thanks
