Has anyone with a gmat score of less than 700 been invited? I was looking at the business week forums and I haven't read of anyone who scored in the 600 to 690 range being invited. Please help!

Several of our clients have been invited for interview at H/S/W with GMAT scores under 700. As you probably know, AdCom looks at your entire package (including GPA, Essays, LORs, ect) when making interview decisions.

Good luck!

Thanks for the response. The reason I asked is because I was on another forum (BusinessWeek) and everyone there who'd been invited (to HBS) scored more than 700. So I was getting a bit worried.
Thanks

I have been offered an interview to HBS and scored less than a 700 on the GMAT (680, 42, 40). I have also already interviewed at Wharton/Lauder. The HBS interview is an open application interviewer never mentioned anything about my GMAT score. With that being said, I have had great grades in an extensive amount of math and statistics courses in undergrad and graduate school which may have offset my sub-par quant score. For some reason my quant knowledge did not translate well to the GMAT.

I have not yet heard from Stanford. Does anyone know if a majority of the Stanford invites have already been sent? Stanford is my third choice of three schools but it never hurts to have as many interviews as possible to improve the chances of getting in somewhere.

I was extremely excited to get invites to HBS and Wharton/Lauder, however, an interview invite does not necessarily mean that and acceptance is imminent. Good luck to all!

Just got notice today that I was accepted to Wharton. A sub 700 GMAT can get you into a top school. There is a lot more that goes into a decision than just simply the GMAT. The GMAT is just one data point that is used.
