I am planning to take my GMAT exam in May 2009. I would request if any of you could please guide me as to where to start and what is the best strategy for taking the exam.
As far as I can see from the forum Official Guide seems to be a good book to start with. I would also appreciate your inputs and also any guidance on the tutorial classes that MGMAT or Veritas offer that might help.

Hi,

You are right. Am in my mid way of preparation. I also used OG 11 for starting the starting the same. Strategy wise, it depends on ur time availability and the portion of which u can dedicate to ur prep.

I understand from various forum discussions that, Kaplan and Manhattan are more talked about. So naturally they should also be a next best source to line up ur prep. But the key lies in the frequency of ur timed test and CBT. Working in paper and on a monitor are very different experience.

I think the OG - Supplements for Verbal and Quants are also a good source in ur prep.
