Which of the following is the greatest ?

A. 40% of 30
B. 3/5 of 25
C. 6.5% of 200
D. Five more than the square of 3
E. (1/2)^(-4)

The OA is E.


Can anyone suggest any shortcut approach??

A. 40% of 30 = 12
B. 3/5 of 25 = 15
C. 6.5% of 200 = 13
D. Five more than the square of 3 =5+9 = 14
E. (1/2)^(-4) = 2^4 = 16

E indeed is the answer - I do not think we need a shortcut for these apart from some math practice

Harsh i think these are just simple calculation.. Just calculate it in ur mind all 5 and it will give you an answer. I don't think any other shorter approach (w.r.t. time) is possible.
I m writing ans on calculation in my mind.
A. 12 B. 15 C. 13 D. 14 E. 16
