hi..

I am an MBA class of 2013 aspirant...

I have been given to believe that GLIM is best suited for applicants with a 2-5 yr work experience.. Would you recommend this programme to a sales professional with close to 10 years experience earning a 7 digit salary and looking for a sales and marketing career post MBA..

Thanking You

You are right. Great Lakes is definitely best suited for those with 2-6 years of work experience. Having said that we do have students with more than 7 years of work experience studying here. My recommendation would depend upon your purpose for doing your MBA. If you are looking for learning, then you got the best professors teaching here and the value you get is immense. Another aspect of a MBA is peer learning, since you have a huge amount of experience, the peer learning may be limited.

If you need a one year program in Chennai with world class facilities and known for its marketing programs, then Great Lakes is one of the best option for you.

Great Lakes is proud to inform you of GL Connect, a platform wherein Management aspirants across the country get a chance to network & associate with the Institute. Going beyond the regular agenda of discussing the School, application norms, addressing FAQs etc., this year the event offers much more.

GL Connect will present live discussions with the Dean, Dr. Bala V Balachandran and eminent speakers such as Shantanu Prakash, Chairman, Educomp Solutions, Amit Agnihotri, Chairman, MBA Universe, Ashish Bharadwaj, Managing Director, GMAC-INDIA, Mr. Mohan Lakhamraju, Stanford Business School Alumnus and Ex-VC/PE Investor etc. Keep checking the Great Lakes website to find out which speaker is there in a given city.

Since inception of the institute, this platform used to be called 'Meet the Dean', with only Dr. Bala addressing the MBA aspirant audience. From this year, we have re-christened the same event as 'GL Connect' and brought in a wider range of speakers to provide a global management perspective.

We are planning GL Connect as a four-city event, the details of which are given below. Registrations are already open for the event to be held in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai. Please find the details below-

23rd December 2011 - Delhi
28th December 2011 - Chennai
3rd January 2012 - Mumbai
4th January 2012 - Bengaluru

Register yourself on - https://greatlakes.edu.in/glc/
FB - https://www.facebook.com/events/310002345698348/

Let's meet. Let's Connect.... GL Connect!

Hey

Although your work and extra curriculars are pretty good, your GMAT score is extremely low. If you are able to retake the GMAT and get a good score then you have a good chance of getting shortlisted.

I cannot say there is no chance but a better score would be better is what i meant. There is no cut off, Great Lakes will consider your entire profile.

Your XAT score is very low and it would be tough to get a call. But if you have a good work experience, good ECs and a strong profile then you might stand a chance.
