There are 73 scores so the median score will be 73/2 = 36.5th score

From the table if you see, you will know that the 36.5th score will fall between 80 and 89

moneyman, just be careful when calculating which score is the median score. The formula, so to speak, for finding which score is the median score in a list of n scores is given by (n+1)/2. The median here, out of 73 scores, would be the 37th score, not the average of 36 and 37 (what you'd mean by 36.5th score).

If you don't believe me, just think of smaller examples that you can prove to yourself, like the median of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 is 3 ((5+1)/2) not 2.5.

It didn't matter in this problem because the "36.5th" score and the 37th score fell in the same interval, but just something to keep your eye on.
