Couldn't find this question anywhere in the forum.

If x - y > 10, Is x - y > x + y ?

(1) x = 8
(2) y = -20

Will post OA soon.
[Edited: Changed the statement 2. Extremely sorry, it was a typo]

IMO D.. simply because y<0 or y being -ve suffice both the statements individually

D would be my guess.. cuz u need to know the sign of the variables to determine the answer to the question..both answer choices provide this.. therefore D

Hey !

Let's rephrase the question.
x-y>x+y ==> x-x>y+y==> question will be, is 2y<0 or is y<0.

stmt2) is an easy statement, if y=-20, y<0. sufficient.

stmt1) If x=8, then 8-y>10 => -y>2, y<-2. hence y<0. Statement is sufficient.
