My current overall undergrad gpa is 2.715

I just worked out some figures and it appears as though by retaking the following courses at the local junior college and replacing my transcript with them I will be over and overall gpa of 3.0:

micro econ
macro econ
sociology
pre calc math
calculus
managerial acctg
spanish 2


I had gotten C's in all those courses except for calculus which i've never taken. If I get A's in all of them I'll be at a 3.03 GPA overall.

Will that influence admissions very much? Or should I just focus on quant courses only and drop sociology and spanish? Even though this will leave me under a 3.0 overall?

Also, I'm taking about 18 units worth of accounting courses for my cpa requirements. I don't think its transferable though, not sure...

I'm doing it through UCLA's online extension program.

What would be the best way to present an alternative transcript or a "modified transcript" after having replaced old C's I had gotten with A's?

By the way most of my C's were in junior college so it will appear as a slight downward trend if they were replaced. I've heard its better to have an upward trend.

What are your thoughts?

GPA is my weakest area and I'm looking for the best plan for correcting it.
