Whether or not you are summa, magna or plain cum laude depends on the GPAs of your graduating class and how your institutions awards those designations. If you maintain a 3.9, then I would think you should receive one of those designations unless a large percentage of your fellow grads have higher GPAs.

Earning a higher GPA in your final 2 years will be favorable to you in the MBA admissions process. Your grades from all institutions will be scrutinized, so if you had mitigating circumstances at the previous school, then you will want to note those in an optional essay. You can't change the 2.0, but your 3.9 and a solid GMAT should help to mitigate your rocky academic start.
