Dear Rachit,

When trying to determine your GPA conversion to a U.S. 4.0 scale, I think a credentialing service is always the best way to go. If you do not want to pay for a conversion, then I think it is best to use a conversion guide provided by one of your target schools. Most schools provide a conversion guide in their applications or self-reported transcripts, so you should check there. Most schools are familiar with the grading system in India and can probably offer you some guidance on conversion if you do not find anything in their application information.
