Dear All.
I was recently accepted on the MBA programme at Cornell. Does anyone have any experience / knowledge about Cornell's programme? Especially compared with other NYC based schools, such NYU / Columbia? I would be very grateful if anyone could kindly let me know their thoughts regarding the school. Clearly, it's a good school and ivy league, hence my reason for applying. However, it seems to slightly less well in rankings. Is this something I should be concerned about? They have a new Dean too recently from INSEAD, which seems to be quite exciting - any views?
If I can be of assistance to anyone with regard to essays, applications process, interviews, do let me know. I would be happy to assist.

Hey crushready,

I'll also be heading to Johnson this fall, and can assure you it is a solid top 15 program. What are your career goals, and where do you want to live post MBA? Are you comparing Johnson against other schools, or just trying to figure out if it's worth the investment in general?

My main reasons for applying/accepting their offers were
1) The Close-Knit community. Ithaca is 3 hours away from NYC is a beautiful peaceful town away from the urban lives most of us have been living for years and years. I saw this as a great opportunity to get away from city life, and use these 2 years to focus on building my business acumen and network. Its a VERY different experience then Columbia and NYU. The people seem down to earth and I just felt a strong connection with everyone I interacted with.

2) Immersion learning - As a career switcher, having the ability to take a full semester to really focus on my future career was important to me. I feel that I will be ahead of many of my peers from other schools at my summer internship.

3) Strong recruiting in the US Northeast - I want to live in New England or the Tri-state area after my MBA, and I know Cornell places well in both regions.
