Hey Guys,

I recently got admissions into UT Austin and GWU (Full Ride). Post graduation I am looking forward to join the consulting industry.

As an international student what would be mroe beneficial for me. Taking loans for Austin or availing the full ride at GWU.

Tough call. I'd lean towards GW with the money, since yes Austin is higher ranked, but the difference may not be that colossal so as to make that much of a money difference. But again it depends on LOTS of factors I don't know, like your financial situation, your work history, etc.

Congratulation on making it to UT Austin and GWU. In terms of brand value, McCombs definitely wins. Considering your post MBA goal, both schools will provide you good opportunities to get into the consulting industry as both schools have an alumni stronghold in the consulting field. I think both Austin and Washington D.C have a good number of companies which can provide internships to you. With almost similar university profiles, I think the brand value of McCombs cannot beat the full scholarship offered by GWU. But before making a decision, I suggest you talk to some alumni of both UT Austin and GWU.

Good Luck!

You might find this list helpful, it ranks MBA programs based on value for the money. Looks like McCombs actually came out on top! Anyways, just something to consider as you make your decision:
