I'm the next of the long list of people, who would like to sit for the GMAT until June. I have already had some research. It was July-August last year that I decided to take this step. I have already got the last editions of the following books:
Books:
OG12
OG Verbal
OG Quant
MGMAT Foundations Maths
MGMAT Foundations Verbal
MGMAT 8 Strategy Guides except CR, where I got Powerscore CR Bible
MGMAT Advanced Maths
Still thinking about - Aristotle SC Grail and Aristotle RC99 (interested in your opinion if they would be a good addition)
My approach/strategy:
Once I have passed my TOEFL (11.02) I will start my intensive preparation for GMAT. I would have about 3,5 months in which I will be able to dedicate at least the entire weekends and most of the weekdays. Aiming to achieve 720+.
I will start with both MGMAT Foundation Books, which I hope to complete in about two weeks and then perform a CAT Test(GMATPrep), with which to gauge my knowledge and define the sequence of the books. I expect to be equally weak in Quant and Verbal, but let's see. Generally I want to mix Quant and Verbal in order to keep them fresh and will pass all MGMAT Strategy Guides first doing every chapter, then the MGMAT problems, and finally, the related OG problems. I will keep an error log with all problems (guessed and wrong) in order to revise them daily/weekly. Here I won't measure time, but build strong basics.
Once I have completed MGMAT Strategy Guides I will do another CAT(MGMAT) in order to see where I am and try to improve my weak areas through re-reading MGMAT Strategy Guides. Once I feel ready with Quant, I will complete the Advanced Maths book as well.
The final stage of my preparation will include CAT's (GMAT Prep & MGMAT), error log analysis and working for speed and stamina -> perform morning CAT's (hope to get a morning GMAT) and develop some speed strategies.
While studying I aim to also watch Thursday's with Ron and other similar GMAT-related things online, BTG and GC workshops, questions of the day etc.
My questions:
What do you think about my general strategy?
Would you suggest buying Aristotle products?
What are the best stamina & speed rules for the final stage of the preparation?
Which other CAT's would you recommend?
How often would you revise your error log?
Should one do OG problems as going through MGMAT books, or leave those questions for later?
