As isoceles right-angled triangle so base = height = a and hyp = h
So 2a^2 = h2 using Pythagorus theorem.
so h = a * sqrt(2)

And 2a + h = 16(1 + sqrt(2))
2a + a * sqrt(2) = 16(1 + sqrt(2))
or a * sqrt(2) (sqrt(2) + 1) = 16(1 + sqrt(2))
a = 16/sqrt(2).

h = 16 => IMO B

A 45:45:90- triangle is a isosceles triangle ( a right angle isosceles triangle to be precise), but all isosceles triangles are not 45:45:90 triangle .. A isosceles triangle is a triangle in which 2 of the sides have equal length.. Read this https://www.mathopenref.com/isosceles.html ..

Oh my mistake.. I thot u meant that all isoceles trianhles are 45:45:90 triangles (your post clearly did not say that .. I just misread it ) .. sorry about the confusion ..

btw how did you delete your post... i thot only a moderator/monitor could do that, I mean u can delete the contents of your post, but you cant delete the whole post itself.. can you? ..

Right after you post there will be the edit button in the upper right corner of the post, and next to it should be a X. Hit that and it will delete it. I think it is only there for a limited time though.

Well have reported the situation to Eric.. posts can usually be only deleted by moderators .. there's some funny things happening on the board for the past few days .. but am sure it is not something that Eric can't fix .. Right Eric?? ..

All right here's ultimate reply. 8) FYI: any member can delete his own post if its located at the end of the thread. However Moderators/Monitors have greater access and can edit/ modify or even delete the any posts entirely (including admin's posts )

& regarding other funny stuffs I am not aware of them as I am not active member anymore...
