I work full time in my family business and would like to attend NYU Langone PT program in the Fall. I graduated from Tulane University with a 3.6 GPA but my GMAT score is pretty weak, 590. My verbal score was strong but my math score really brought it down. This was the 2nd time I had taken it though and taking it a 3rd time seems grueling. Do I have any shot with this GMAT score? And does being in a family business (a large one though) help or hinder my odds? Or maybe it has no effect...
I do a lot of activities outside of work that I think show leadership and ability to multi-task/handle the course load but with a score under 600 it may not help. What does it take to be in that 10% that gets accepted outside of the range?
