Yes there is a time limit.. I think you are totally to new to GMAT, Pls read through online articles on mba.com about the test.

btw, there are 3 sections Essay - 2 essays, Quant - 36 questions in 75 mins and Verbal - 41 questions in 75 mins..

Yes, entirely correct, except that there are 37 questions in the Quant section. You have 30 minutes for each of the two essays, so the total test time is 3h30m (plus breaks).
