GMAT Strategy starting on Monday 5/29/11

Hey Guys,
I'm new to the forums and just wanted to open this thread up for others to talk about strategy and to lend suggestions. I have 2 review books. The

Kaplan Review and the Official Guide produced by the GMAC. I also just purchased the Kaplan "GMAT in a Box" flash cards. I don't plan on using a tutor

or a traditional review course. Strictly plan to study on my own, whilst consulting the forums of course! How many review books did you guys need for your

prep? I plan to take the GMAT 2 months from now. I have a pretty sweet schedule working 22 hours a week with ample time to study in between shifts.

Your tool kit must include the following.

Quant:
OG is ok.
You can get additional questions like BTG practice questions or Grockit access. grockit is better for quant. You can play games n learn.
If you have any quant weaknesses, MGMAT guides should help.

Verbal:
SC: Mgmat SC.
CR: Powerscore CR Bible.
RC: Practice lots. RC 99 should help.
OG for all is mandatory, especially for SC. Each question will teach u a GMAT concept. Take that learning from each question.

Practice tests:
2 GMAT Prep questions plus MGMAT / Princeton or Veritas tests. Analyse your tests. In fact start with one to guage yourself.

Get the flash cards from this site at https://www.beatthegmat.com/mba/free-gma ... flashcards. that is also very good. Join this study plan https://www.beatthegmat.com/mba/gmat-guide , BTG team will send you a mail daily supporting your learning process.

Regarding books, apart from what you have, get MGMAT Guides for SC, CR. They are very good. I am presently using OG12, MGMAT guides for SC, CR and Kaplan premier 2010-2011 and they are very helpful. I needed a little refresher for quants so purchased a KAPLAN GMAT MATH foundations but the book seems to be very close to KAPLAN premier and OG12 guide.
