This is my second post and 1st thread. I took the gmat prep test by gmac about one month ago with very limited knowledge of the gmat and no studying. I scored a 400 (17Q 27V). Yes, terrible. I have been studying for a month so far. I've spent about 70% of my time on quant. I am extremely weak, obviously, on quant. It's not that I don't understand it, it's I haven't done this in 10+years and I am basically having to relearn the fundamentals. I am also taking the live Veritas prep course right now and am in week 5 of it. I honestly feel like I'm drowning. I wish I had studied at least a month before the course. It is moving wayyyy too fast for me. I have spent several hours per quant book so far. Probably 20 hours per book.

I guess my dilemma is, how do I need to tackle the gmat? Should I plow through the books or spend 10+ minutes per question if I miss it(which is most of them)? I wanted to take the test in the 3rd week of April, but I am 99% sure that's not going to happen because I don't think I'll be ready. I feel like I am moving so slow! How can I more efficiently go about this? Any advice would be useful and thanks in advance.
