So, I took the GMAT this moring and scored far bellow I needed to, in order to get into the program I want, which is U. MD Smith
The final deadline for U. MD Smith is Marh 1st, which is two days from now. My applcation is complete, but I have yet to submit it.
I spoke to a rep at U. MD Smith, who told me that I have the option to indicate on the app that I intend to re-take the GMAT. She informed me that, if I chose to do so, my application would not be reviewed until the new scores were submitted. She also said that, in doing so, my applcation would still be considered as having met their March 1 deadline, assuming that everything else was in order, even if the new scores didn't arrive until weeks later.
But, my question is this: do I have a realistic chance of being accepted under these circumstaces, even if I do very well on the GMAT the next time I take it? When evaluating applicants, won't they favor someone who's scores were submitted by the March 1 deadline?
