Hi all,

I know GMAT score depends on the difficulty of the question. However, do the points reflect how many questions we are right or wrong? Does anyone have any idea of what score we will get if we are wrong a certain number of question?

I am studying for the GMAT right now and trying to take the practice test. I just took one KAPLAN and one of the GMAT Prac. In the quantitative, I had 11 questions wrong and KAPLAN gave me 42, GMAT Prac gave me 49. However, in the verbal I was wrong 11 questions too and GMAT Prac gave me 30. Does it mean I will get a higher score if I do better in the verbal part?

It is not possible for us to determine the scoring methodology. The number of questions you get right/wrong do not directly determine the score. Further the scoring logic of Quant differs from VA. It is best to treat each question with the same amount of respect.

The scoring method of GMAT prep closely resembles the actual one. The other tests would have limitations in this regard.
