Hey guys ,

I was wondering how much importance is given to the quant and verbal section scores in GMAT . I mean if say if I score a 720( Q51,V38) and somebody else also scores a 720 but with a (Q46,V43) , which score would be better ? On your application , would a balanced score like the second one look better or would a really high quant score look good ?

Overall, quant is a bit more important, but most schools do like to see a balanced score. So the answer is both!
:)

If these are your two options, I guess I would go with the second, but it depends also on your profile and goals. So for example if you were an English teacher wanting to go into finance, I might choose the first instead.... It's all about getting the most out of your ENTIRE application as a holistic whole.
