IMO C.
Basically the question is asking for what is the value of X?
From 1st We get two equation X = q x 2 + 1
(q = quotient) the other equation is X = q x 3 + 0.
so it could be 9 or 21.
Insuffcient.
From 2nd statment we get X = q x 12 + 3.
it could be any number 15,27,39 etc.
Insufficient.
By taking both the statment together, the numbers could be 15,27,39 which statifies all the three equation and gives the remainder 3 when divided by 6.

Well i disagree. . question is not asking whats the value of x but what the remainder when its divided by 6
1) from stmnt 1 , its sure that the x is odd multiple of 3 . Any odd multiple of 3 when didvide by 6 will always give 3 as remainder --> Suff.
2) From stmnt 2 the x is of form 12m + 3 ---> 3 will be the remainder when didvide by 6 ..hence Suff.
So D shuold be the answer
