I think, I can answer this question:

My approach would be simple: 1st Find the area of triangle PQR and then Find the area of triangle LMN. The height will be the Y cordinates for respective triangles and the base will be the ( difference of 2 x co-ordinates).

For PQR, i think the height is 4 and for LMN the height is 12. The base for PQR is 4 and for LMN is 12.

So When you solve the area for PQR=8 and for LMN=72. So take their fraction... it gives 8/72 ( area of PQR/Area of LMN) = 1/9.
