Area that is not covered = (pi*12*12 - pi*10*10)
Fraction of area that is not covered =
(pi*12*12 - pi*10*10) / pi*12*12
= 44 / 144
= 11 / 36
Fraction of area that is not covered =
(pi*12*12 - pi*10*10) / pi*12*12
= 44 / 144
= 11 / 36

The area of the circular cloth = Pie*r2
= 100Pie
Area of the Tray = Pie*r2
= 144Pie
Therefore area not covered = 144Pie - 100Pie = 44Pie
Fraction not covered = 44Pie/144Pie
= 11/36
= 100Pie
Area of the Tray = Pie*r2
= 144Pie
Therefore area not covered = 144Pie - 100Pie = 44Pie
Fraction not covered = 44Pie/144Pie
= 11/36
