we need to find s=3r+2
A
s= 3r+2 or s=4r+9 or both
insuff
pt may or may not lie
wrt s= 3r+2 it lies
but
wrt s=4r+9 it does not lie
B
s=4r-6 or s=3r+2 or both
insuff
A+B
we have only one common equn
that is
s=3r+2
which is what we desire
hence ans is C
