I used 68-95-99.7 rule but i think here it was not really necessary

I you can draw such picture you will deduct that answer is D

(1)
68% lies between m-d and m+d.
so 32% do not lies between m-d and m+d
32%/2% = 16 is greater than m+d
SUFF

(2)
16% is less than m-d, so 16% is greater than m+d
SUFF

as far as I know this rule is not tested in gmat
this was the first time i used it in official GMAT question

here the knowledge of median and standart deviation is tested
remember the picture i posted and this will be enough
