This problem is fairly simple and I came to the right answer, I just can't remember the underlying reason of how I did it. Come someone shed some light on this please?

1 cubic meter = 800 kgs

1 cubic meter = 10^6
1kg = 10^3

10^6 cubic centimeters = 800 kgs

10^6 = 800 * 10^3

10^3 = 800

10^3/800 = 1 gram

10/8 = 1 gram

1.25 = 1 gram
