Hello, I recently downloaded fre GMAT prep software + extra gmat question pack 1.

I was thinking that I will start practicing the questions before giving GMAT prep CAT 1 and 2.
However, I am stucked, because I want to save test questions for the final CAT test. If I waste questions by practicing and solving then I would get wrong asnwers.

Could you please advice. what should I do?

Hi joshigk,

Each practice test pulls questions from a large database of questions, and since you have purchased the extra question pack, that database is even larger.
Even without purchasing the extra question pack, you will see only 5-7 repeated questions (per section) if you take each test twice. So, don't worry about saving the questions for later.
I wrote an article about taking the questions multiple times: https://www.beatthegmat.com/mba/2010/03/ ... iple-times

I hope that helps.

Cheers,
Brent

Hello Brent,
Many thanks for your perfect analysis. It has really relieved my tension.
Actually, I already gave 4 Kaplan CAT twice. My scores were not so encouraging, they are as follow,
Kaplan CAT 1 : 470
Kaplan CAT 2 : 500
Kaplan CAT 3 : 490
Kaplan CAT 1 : 510
Kaplan CAT 1 : 520
Kaplan CAT 2 : 500
Kaplan CAT 3 : 520
Kaplan CAT 4 : 540 (here I were knowing questions)
Manhatten Free CAT 1: 530

I realized that if I had done this study from OG/GMAT prep then I would have know the real questions.
Hence, I thought of doing the study from actual test questions and I bought extra questions pack.
Had I took so many test from actual GMAT prep software, it would have been much better for me. Nevertheless, I still haven't lost anything so I can go ahead.

FYI- When I study using software, my study is always good. On top of that software provides you the statistics of your study, mistakes you made and corrective actions to be taken. So, let's hope, I will clear my next goal of 600 score and following the target score of 700.

Hence, following your advice, I will start studying using GMAT prep software immediately.
Thank you and have a nice day. !!
