I will go with D

after lot of trade offs between D and E

for generating electricity efficiently and

for heating

A, B and C-Not parallel

B -"to be" wordy

E-
I dont think so "heat homes" would be the broad usage and hence we should not consider parallelsim offered by "to produce " and "to heat Homes"

i go for D, clear parallelism and flow.

E looked wierd to my post-lunch-sleepy eyes..in mining, heat etc. looked unparallel.

One more doubt:

suppose one more option
F) and producing energy on comercial scale, enough for generating electricity efficiently and for heating

Will this choice be parallel and if it is, then which choice will be better.

My doubt is how mining and to produce are parallel?

Hi IWG,

My doubt is how mining and to produce are parallel?

In option D, it is not mining parallel to produce.
Mining is an action so sentence goes like this mining for Heat to produce....

The parallelism is between for generating and for heating.
