HI,
Range = highest price for any of the 25 cars - lowest price for any of the 25 cars

For the First 15 cars
Maximum Price = lowest price + range = 4500 + 15000 = 19500

For the next 10 cars
Maximum Price = lowest price + range = 6100 + 16500 = 22600


Range for the 25 Cars - 22600 - 4500 = 18,100

Thanks for your response. But I didn't quite understand why you add the highest price and the lowest price to get the maximum price? Since the maximum price has to stay between 4500 and 15000 fo the 10 cars and between 6100 and 165000 for the 25 cars, I would assume the maximum price cannot be more than 16500. How can we add the least and the maximum range of the cars price to get the maximum price. Can you please expplain this if possible. Appreciate it.

I think I got the reasoning behind it. I made a dum mistake of not reading the question properly. I didn't realize that the question gave us the range and the lowest value.So we can get the maximum by adding the range to the lowest. I was in the assumption that it was the upper limit since I compltely missed the RANGE word in the question , menaing (max-min).
