In a survey of 248 people, 156 are married, 70 are self employed, and 25% of those who are married are self employed. If a person is to be randomly selected from those surveyed, what is the probablity that the person selectecd will be self employed.

1/8, 4/31, 117/248, 1/4, 31/117

Is the question copied correctly ?

If we just have to find probability of self employed, it is going to be 70/248
which does not yield any of the answers given.

If the question is "probability that the person will be self employed but not
married", it will be 31/248 = 1/8. You get 31 because 25% of 156 = 39 and
70-39 = 31 (this is the number of people self employed but not married)
