From 1) 200>anything less than 200, which is true... So left with A & D.
From 2) since b>100, c+d should be smaller than 200 which imples a+b will be greater than c+d.

1. this is straightforward.
2. It is given in question that a+b=200 and a<b so the maximum possible value for a is 99 and minimum possible value for b is 101 to satisfy condition a<b.
now since b + c + d = 300 substituting b(min. possible value) will give
101+c+d
c+d=300-101
i.e. c+d=199 which which is <200 or (a+b).
