GMAT PREP Question Number 1 PROBLEM SOLVING HELP!!

Hey guys. Heres a question from the Gmat Prep. It was the first question on the test. I dont know what is throwing me off. I feel stupid, but here it is

(1/5)^m * (1/4)^18= 1/2(10)^35

If any one can shed some light on this id really appreciate it. Its probably veyr easy and im just missing the point

the equation can be wriiten as

5^m*4^18 = 2* 10^35

5^m*2^35*2 =2*2^35*5^35.
thus m= 35..

Answer choices are
A. 18
B. 17
C. 35
D. 10
E. 53

I was hoping for a more stratagy approached answer. I dont understand how we can conclude that 4^18 +2^36*.

4=2^2, agree?

(x^y)^z=x^(y*z) agree?

therefore

4^18=(2^2)^18=2^(2*18)=2^36=2*2^35
