GMAT PREP QUES

If the operation X is one of the four arithmetic operations addition, subtraction, multiplication and divison, is (6X2)X4 = 6X(2X4)
1. 3X2 > 3
2. 3X1 = 3

OA IS CONDITION I IS SUFFICIENT

BUT AS PER MY UNDERSTANDING , CONDITION2 IS SUFFICIENT

KINDLY EXPLAIN

I somehow missed my detailed explanation.
Rewriting in brief, let me know if it odes not suffice

Qn want operator to be * or +

A
true only for * and +, hence suff

B
true for * and / so not suff


The property asked is known as associative property of operators.
