which of the following ineq. has a solution set that, when graphed on the number line is a single line segment of finite lengths?

1. x^4 >= 1
2. x^3 <= 27
3. x^2 <= 16
4. 2 <= 3x+4 <=6
5. 2 <= IxI <= 5

I think ans is D

x lies between 2 and 3.333 [inclusive]

if we break out option 5, this is what we get:

2 <= x <= 5

OR

-2 >= x >= -5

since these are two individual line segments, we don't get a single line with finite length. so option 5 is wrong.

For answer D:
If we substract 4 from both sides:
-2<= 3x <=2
Dviding by 3

-2/3 <= X <= 2/3

This is finite single line segment...

But I did not get how X lies between 2 and 3.333?
Can you explain me where I am wrong?

A calculation mistake on my part.

I actually added 4 instead of subtracting.
