D is the answer. If notice that sentence describes one action in the past and one action that happens now . So dont use the past perfect tense "had" .rosh26 wrote:can we discuss why this would the case?
What makes D superior to the other choices?
Past perfect tense has 2 be used only when both the action have taken place in the past and at different times.
Option D clearly corrects the error mentioned above.
