The OA is C because range r<s>H,

so tallest guy in Class A and diff greater between shorter and taller in B

Range bigger in B which means diff means tallest and shortest, greater diference between the two ends . Range of A is smaller than B, so Taller and Shorter guy are more closer in hieght.

So for hieght

eg 10>9.9.

B can only have bigger range is shortest guy in b is shorter than the shortest guy in A

Am I thinking it out right.

No, don't think so...

1) r < s
So the B's range > A's range. Not sufficient

2) g > h
tallest guy in A is taller than the tallest guy in B. Not sufficient.

Together:
Range= (tallest - shortest)
If the tallest guy is in A, the only way that B's range can be greater is if the shortest guy is in B.

It might be easier to consider a number line
A: tallest=6'------range=3'------shortest=3'
B: tallest= 5'-----range=4'------shortest=1'

Does that make sense?

Min height = Max height - Range

for A, Min = g - r
for B, Min = h - s

rephrase the Q

Is g - r > h - s ?

from (I) we know r < s INSUFF
from (II) we know g > h INSUFF

Together,

from (I) r < s
or -r > -s ---> eq 1

from (II) g > h ---> eq 2

add eq 1 and eq 2

to get g - r > h -s

so sufficient
